CanadaXReader: What Every Girl Wants to Hear

Prussia watched as you walked off again. He sighed in exasperation. He had been trying to weeks to get you to go out with him. You stalked away, going over to talk to England about a trade that your countries were to be involved in the next week. You had glowered at Prussia for not getting it. You used to like him, yes, but his ego was too much to deal with a times. If he had just said something that wasn't conceited or selfish for once you would have agreed to go out with him. But it had been hard to continue to say no. You had been afraid that if you had, he would either lose interest or you would cave but then he would never change and you would be in an unhappy relationship, of which you wanted neither of those prospects. But now you had moved on. Someone else had taken your heart.

"Geeze… Mattie, what am I supposed to do?"

Naturally, Matthew was delighted to help his friend, because he was being remembered for once and also because he knew how Prussia could be. He knew you liked Prussia but he also knew why you kept your distance from the albino. The man could be enough to make even the most tolerable nations want to ram his head straight through a wall. He looked over to see you talking and laughing with England. France was sneaking up behind you but when England gasped you easily turned around and kicked France in the stomach. Then you went back to your conversation as if nothing happened. Canada smiled. Many nations liked you because of how friendly you were and how you knew when to have fun. You got along with France so long as he didn't try to pull any moves on you. Canada too had a crush on you, but if you chose Gilbert over him, he understood. No one ever really noticed him, but you did sometimes. That always made his day and he would rather have you as a friend then not at all.

"Well, what three little words does every girl want hear?" Canada asked.

He and Prussia stood there for a moment, pondering this new question. It was harder than they thought. Girls liked to hear lots of things after all. They liked to know that they looked good in their clothes, especially when they asked, 'Does this make my butt look too big?' That question alone was a double edged knife. If they said yes, they got upset, though there was the rare girl who appreciated the honesty. Or if they said no, then the girl got upset, because she claimed they were lying, unless they actually believed their honest opinion. Canada knew what he wanted to tell you. But he was far too afraid to. He didn't notice that you were staring at him. There was a slight blush on your face because England, in one of his moments where he actually remembered Canada, asked when you were going to ask him out, because the boy was far too shy to man up and do it himself.

"I love you!" Canada cried.

"Suck my di-"

Hungary suddenly threw her frying pan at Prussia, effectively cutting him off.

If only he had been able to say those words to your face – Canada, not Prussia.
